Let us introduce the "red headed step child" of our beer portfolio. This beer is commonly over looked and is a true Ninja of a beer. While the malt and hops give this beer an amazing copper color, medium body, and a smooth mouth feel, it's the yeast that sets this one apart from other amber ales. Inspired by almost everything from Belgium (beer, women, mussels) we thought it would be cool to give our Amber a little Belgian love. So we used a yeast that is ALMOST like a Belgian yeast strain. You'll notice it in the aroma but mostly in the flavor. Mild hints of light fruit and clove are present at the very end of the sip, just enough to keep you coming back for another sip.
Inspired by traditional English ESBs, our Calico Amber Ale is as American as it could be. A rich complexity comes from four types of malt—but it's those distinct American hops that offer a crisp bitterness and unique floral aroma.
To round out our traditional-English-yet-very-American Amber Ale, we use a proprietary yeast to develop a fruity, Madeira-like richness. Try one today, and find out what a gold medal beer tastes like!
A funny thing happens here around summer's end – our eyes start searching the skies for those first fall flakes. As we welcome autumn's first snow, we celebrate the return of Isolation Ale. A sweet caramel malty ale that is balanced by a subtle crisp hop finish. Whether you ski, shred, or shoe, Isolation Ale will inspire you to make first tracks.
A well-balanced, medium to full-bodied beer, red in color and very flavorful.
Single El Dorado hopped American style barley wine that his high in both abv and ibu. Big hoppy nose followed by a balanced mid-palate and a slightly caramel finish. This one can do some damage. It definitely drinks smaller than a 9% beer.
Coffee Bender refreshes like an iced-coffee, is aromatic as a bag of whole beans as satisfies like your favorite beer. The Surly brew team has developed a cold extraction process that results in intense coffee aromatics and flavor bringing together two of our favorite beverages. Your only dilemma will be whether to finish your day or start it with a Coffee Bender.
We took the Wilco Tango Foxtrot, our malty, robust brown ale and threw it into some red wine oak barrels for 15 months, giving it a tart and funky feel. WTF, indeed!
AleSmith Nut Brown is a tribute to one of our favorite British styles. Deep mahogany in color, its rich, malt-forward flavor profile balances notes of biscuit, mild cocoa and earthy hops. A creamy mouthfeel and full body enhances its drinkability, making Nut Brown an extremely sessionable ale that embodies our commitment to quality.
This bready, yet heavily hopped brown ale bridges the gap between its aged British roots and its “new-age†American counterparts. Heritage British floor-malted barley makes a more than suitable bed for a blend of old school and new experimental American hops to lay. Even for a wandering spirit, it tastes of home.
Porter brewed with Dutched cocoa, Saigon cinnamon, and cayenne.
A bit of backwoods pleasure without the banjo. This strong stout is brewed with a hint of coffee and vanilla then aged in oak bourbon barrels. Our process ensures that strong bourbon undertones come through in the finish in every batch we brew. We recommend decanting at room temperature and best enjoyed in a brandy snifter.
Our newest beer to be released in March. Brewed with real blood oranges with a base of Brew Free or Die IPA. We added some additional Citra hops to compliment the oranges.
A hopped up IPA that always maintains the same consistent grain bill. However, we craft our IPA with a new twist each time it is expertly brewed!
As we know, hop varietals are growing rapidly and we are always attempting to take advantage of them. Our "Craft'd" IPA will always change based on which hops we want to use at the time.
Whenever Craft'd is on, make sure you give it a try!
Big, juicy citrus complexity. The rich golden hue is clear as the sky. Typical hop punch but without the long lingering sting. Slight grassy notes but a wonderfully balanced brew.
FOR YOUR EYES ONLY: Brewers from both Sun King and Revolution have worked together to break the code of delicious hop flavor with Double 00 Session IPA. Brewed using a classified combination of Mosaic and Citra hop varieties and techniques worthy of MI6, Double 00 Session is an IPA that has a license to thrill your palate.
GoneAway is a western charged firecracker. We conjured the classics and then laid them on a bed of pale malt. This India Pale Ale shoots straight to the bitter edge before falling into a mellow haze. Deep gold and ready to travel into the distance.
Admin Note - This beer was previously known as "Heyoka" and "Senita" but has been changed by the brewery to this current name. All ratings will be housed under this listing.
This IPA will seriously punch you right in the taste buds. Strong and resinous hop aroma. Bitter bite but smooth, yet lingering finish. Not for the faint of heart.
Each fall, hops reach their peak flavor- bursting with aromatic oils that give ales layers of complex flavor and aroma that can only happen at harvest time. For us, fall comes twice a year- once in each hemisphere. This Harvest Ale features "wet" or un-dried whole-cone hops from Yakima, WA that are plucked from the bine and delivered to our brewery within 24 hours of picking.
Resurrected has been reincarnated as Incarnation India Pale Ale! Due to expanding to different markets we had to change the name of our mosaic hopped IPA formerly known as Resurrected. Incarnation will start to take over Resurrected out in the market, so be ready! Do not be alarmed, though- It is the same beautiful beer, but with a new name.
The IPA is brewed with Pale and CaraFoam malts and Naked Golden Oats to yield a rich copper color and smooth mouthfeel. We minimized the specialty malts in this brew to allow the star of the show, the hops, specifically Mosaic, to be showcased properly. Using Warrior as our primary bittering hop and additions of Mosaic and Zythos in the brewkettle and whirlpool we created a crisp intense bitterness and layers of earthy and herbal flavors. Finally, we dry hopped this unique IPA with Mosaic once again to lock in and enhance the aromas of tropical fruit, citrus and fresh pine.
Named for Myrcene, a component of essential oils in the hop flower, Myrcenary Double IPA is our tribute to those who revere the illustrious hop, and their unyielding exploit to craft hop forward beers. Brewed with a blend of hops containing the highest levels of Myrcene, this double IPA prevails with a tropical fruit-like flavor, a pungent floral aroma, and a clean getaway.
It is an IPA that celebrates the mayor of the “clothing optional†Black Beach in Torrey Pines San Diego county. This beer also celebrates Nelson Sauvin hops from New Zealand
New England style IPA. A juice bomb of citrus nuances.
Pulp Fusion Blood Orange IPA blends the beauty of an IPA with vibrant citrus flavor from the juice of blood oranges. It shines with a bright, golden color and finishes smooth without lingering bitterness. This commingling of aromatic hops and zesty blood oranges is a blood bath of citrus flavor! Pairs well with a Royale with Cheese.
This is a tropical, light bodied, easy-drinking IPA; tasted rice gives the beer a subtle tropical coconut flavor, in a addition to the tropical notes from the Southern Hemisphere hops.
Rupture was born out of our obsession with getting the most out of each and every hop. In fact, we built a machine in our brewery to incorporate a unique fresh grind process. By grinding the whole hop, we "rupture" the lupulin inside - releasing the oil that gives the beer its flavor. And what we grind that day, we use that day. Leaving you a beer that’s fresh, aromatic, with an unparalleled bright, hoppy character.
The Sculpin IPA is a testament to our humble beginnings as Home Brew Mart. Founded in 1992, the Mart continues to be a catalyst for the San Diego brewing scene, setting the trend for handcrafted ales. Inspired by our customers, employees and brewers, the Sculpin IPA is bright with aromas of apricot, peach, mango and lemon. Its lighter body also brings out the crispness of the hops. This delicious Ballast Point Ale took a Bronze Medal at the 2007 Great American Beer Festival in the Pro Am category. The Sculpin fish has poisonous spikes on its fins that can give a strong sting. Ironically, the meat from a Sculpin is considered some of the most tasty. Something that has a sting but tastes great, sounds like a Ballast Point India Pale Ale.
Inspired by the island life, we created an IPA completely disconnected from the mainland. We used our one-of-a-kind Hop Torpedo to deliver an intense rush of hop flavor and the lush aromas of mango, papaya, and passion fruit with every sip. Enjoy our tropical twist on the American IPA.
This IPA is extra dank and resinous. Enjoy its piney aromas and tropical notes from a blend of Citra and Mosaic hops.
The team is pairing up with Sublime to create a Mexican-style lager. You heard that right — the brewery is working with the remaining members of the legendary SoCal-based ska-rock band Sublime to craft a Mexican-style lager in celebration of the 25th anniversary of their iconic debut album, “40oz. to freedom.†“It doesn’t taste like anything else. The flavor is great and it has a craft beer flare with a true Mexican lager taste. This is the one!†– Sublime co-founder Bud Gaugh. “
Live in the now - that's is what we always say when we have fresh hops, straight from a local Michigan grower. What a better way to enjoy the summer harvest?
Congratulations! Welcome to flavor country. This most recent FFF's pale ale has just the Congratulations! Welcome to flavor country. This most recent FFF's pale ale has just the malt backbone to support an explosive juicy hop profile derived from a new blend of proprietary hops. Cheers.derived from a new blend of proprietary hops. Cheers.
A crisp easy drinking Pils with just enough hopping for bitterness and a flavorful compliment to the malt.
Everything we love about classic German Pilsner with a hoppy Bohemian twist. Pils is a bright straw colored lager beer with playful carbonation topped with beautiful white foam lace. Delicate lightly toasted malt flavors underscore noble German hop character. Hallertau-grown Magnum hops deliver the lupulin foundation while generous amounts of Spalter Select hops bring floral aromatic and spicy herbal notes. As a twist on the traditional Pils, we dry hop with German Saphir for a touch of bergamot zest and lemongrass. A refreshing, light-bodied and hop-driven Pils.
Pony is new to the scene, but we welcome this pilsner lager into the fold like an old friend. Pony is a crisp, clean pilsner you can saddle on up to the bar and order with a confident, rangy thunder. Get on yer stoop or prepare for the trek, there’s a Pony in every pint.
Stella Artois was first brewed as a Christmas beer in leuven. It was named Stella from the star of Christmas, and Artois after Sebastian Artois, founder of the brewery. It's brewed to perfection using the original Stella Artois yeast and the celebrated Saaz hops. It's the optimum premium lager, with it's full flavour and clean crisp taste.
This is the new and improved Peanut Butter Chocolate Milk Stout. This is a beer that deserved to stand on its own, so we rebranded it and gave it a bit more body. The beer is now 7.1%, but still holds the same flavor profile you all love from years past.
Cold Brew Milk Stout with coffee and chocolate.
Pasteurised. Usually called Draught; sometimes called Cold or Extra Cold - same beer, but served colder.
Launched in 1961.
Ingredients: Pale ale malt, about 25 to 30% flaked barley, and about 10% roasted barley, with no other grains or sugars; several hop varieties, mainly Goldings (pellets and isomerized extract); a flocculent head-forming ale yeast.
Named after the original Native American name for Wolf Road, which runs between Tribes' original brewpub and it's upcoming production brewery, this double pale ale weighs in at 7.5% ABV and 70 IBU's. A blend of two British base malts gives this very approachable beer it's golden color, while the moderate bitterness (for style) and flavors of citrus from Centennial hops balance its crisp dry finish
Our interpretation of a traditional Belgian wheat beer, Allagash White is unique and truly refreshing. Brewed with a generous portion of wheat and our own special blend of spices, this beer is light and slightly cloudy in appearance, with a spicy aroma. Overall, it is a beer that is very drinkable and smooth any time of the year.

This dark amber ale is fermented with a Belgian yeast strain, which gives it its fruity, banana and apple like aroma. French and Belgian malts lend notes of raisin and freshly baked bread, both on the pallet and the nose, while the floral spiciness of Noble hops lingers in the background.
Blended cabernet wine barrel-aged Belgian wheat, dry hopped with Hallertau Blanc hops
Our spiced California style Wit is both refreshing and complex. Brewed with wheat, coriander, California orange peel and local orange blossom honey. From the first sip to the last you'll find subtle flavors of bread, spice, citrus and a thirst quenching orange honey finish.
As the sun arcs low in the mid day sky, this year's harvest is slowly fermenting in its winter slumber.
Everyone here at the Orchard enjoys a few halcyon days to remember the hard work in the last year's harvest. We look forward to next year's crop of apples.
To warm ourselves in the cold northern solstice we enjoy our winter cider. Lightly spiced with ethically traded cinnamon, vanilla and a wee drop of syrup from our old Maple trees on our farm.
Enjoy this wonderful cider cool or gently warmed, savor a tipple to reflect on your last year and bountiful new year beginning.
Brewed using Jasmine rice and grapefruit peel, this isn't your average Saison. While both tend to add mostly to the aroma, the crisp flavors of citrus mingle with the bubble-gummy, fruit forward yeast profile. While French malts give this beer its yellowish hue, German Saphir and Czech Saaz hops add balance through their spicy attributes.
A lot of people have asked us "why are there Bee's on the label?" Well, we don't really have an answer for you other than they just look cool. This is a light bodied easy drinking ale. We only use real raspberries so the flavor is very mild fruit and balanced, not what you would expect from a "fruit" beer. The way we see it is we're brewers so lets make good beer, not some fruity carbonated malt beverage. Oh yeah, our motto..."beer first, fruit second".
A refreshing watermelon ale that combines our Harvest Wheat with natural watermelon essence for exemplary aromatics while maintaining a light, crisp and refreshing flavors. Brewed with a combination of wheat and crystal malts; unfiltered.
Original Gravity: 1.050
Crisp apple with a natural blueberry flavor
Made with pilsner and red wheat malts. Hopped and dry hopped with German Tettnange for a total of 1 lb per barrel. Herbal and floral aromas with a clean, crisp mouth feel and slightly sweet finish.
A Märzenbier (Oktoberfest-style) brewed with dulce de leche and flavors inspired by hoja santa. Dulce de leche is a type of milk caramel widely used throughout Latin America. Hoja santa is a large leaf commonly used in Oaxacan cuisine due to the richness in its flavor and aroma. A new seasonal that celebrates the traditional DÃa de los Muertos (Day of the Dead).
Double spiced ale brewed in the tradition of Swedish Glöggâ€
Each year, when people are starting to unpack their winter clothes and replenish their firewood, our tiny brewery in the coastal redwoods of Northern California makes seasonal preparations of a different kind. As the cold arrives, we release a unique beverage created to add warmth to even the coldest and darkest of winter's days. Winter Solstice Seasonal Ale begins with a very high original gravity to create a hearty and spicy brew with a deep amber hue and a smooth finish. Anderson Valley Brewing Company wishes you the very best for the holiday season and the New Year.
Just like the Evolution replaced the Shovelhead, our Big Twin DIPA is evolving into a killer 8% intensely hopped, bright double IPA with a dry but bitter finish. Hopped with mandarina and mosaic, it is a superbly well balanced brew!
A cousin to our original Clencher, this beer is hopped throughout with Simcoe and Citra, Clencher is loaded with pine and citrus aromas and the body and alcohol to compliment it's assertive flavors.
This beer is intended to be our interpretation, paying homage, to the true west coast style. Expect big, bold and bracing bitterness with tropical fruit notes of mango and grapefruit. Taste the bold and resinous flavor from massive dry hopping. But you better be careful 'cause this brew will take you from 0-100 real fast!
Highly hopped imperial red ale rich with flavor, yet remarkably balanced.
Like vampires (most especially, the notorious German vampire from the 1920s film era), this beer has a bit of a reputation as ?the Beer with the Bite.?
Originally brewed in small batches at our pubs, this crowd-pleasing American-style ale delivers a tempting citrus aroma and light wheat character
When the coastal water near San Diego begin to warm up each year, anglers anticipate the return of the albacore Tuna, know locally as Longfin. As the days grow longer and warmer, locals and visitors alike begin dreaming of those San Diego summers, This traditional German style Helles is a great compliment to summertime cuisine, and the ideal choice for a warm-weather day. Ballast Point Longifn Lager, get the point!
We put our Brainless Belgian-style golden ale into stainless steel tanks for 10-12 days with raspberry puree for a secondary fermentation. Hints of raspberry bubble gum flavors from the Belgian yeast and fresh raspberries tease the pallet. The raspberries give a generous color contribution including a trace of pink to the lacing, as well as a pleasant tartness that lasts until the final sip.
Our Imperial Coconut Porter is a stronger version of robust porter spiced with all natural toasted coconut. It is black in color and crowned with a creamy, dark tan head. It begins with a malty-toasted-coconut aroma followed by a rich, silky mouthfeel with tastes of dark malt, chocolate, and hints of coffee. TCHO cocoa nibs were blended with the toasted coconut during the maturation process to intensify the aroma of coconut and dark chocolate.
Pours silky black with a creamy tan head. The nose is sweet with strong chocolate and caramel malt presence. No absence of hops gives Founders' robust porter the full flavor you deserve and expect. Cozy like velvet. It's a lover, not a fighter.
Our twist on the traditional american porter, Shake chocolate porter is black in color with rich, dark chocolate aromatics and flavors and subtle coffee-like notes. This unique brew blends five different grains, including Chocolate Wheat, that along with cacao nibs create a devilishly delicious chocolate finish with a velvety mouth feel.
Crystal and Chinook full-hopped character, dark orange hued in color, light on the nose but has a nice spicy/sweet finish. Caramel sweet maltiness with peppery spiciness from the rye. This is the beer that makes "Lincoln-Way" famous!
Pours a spectacular crimson red with a creamy tan head. Brewed with four varieties of Belgian caramel malts imparting a sweet richness. Reds Rye is impressively balanced with its hop bitterness and floral bouquet achieved from the dry hop. In the finish, the generous amount of malted rye used accentuates a spicy crisp finish.
Old Chub is a Scottish strong ale brewed with hearty amounts of seven different malts, including crystal and chocolate malts, and a smidge of US and UK hops. Old Chub also gets a dash of beechwood-smoked grains imported from Bamburg, Germany, home of the world's greatest smoked beers. Old Chub is 8% alcohol by volume. While Dale's satisfies our hop addiction, Old Chub takes care of our deep affections for malt. The cola-colored beer (almost black) features a tan head, a creamy, skim-milk mouthfeel, and rich, semi-sweet flavors of caramel and chocolate throughout. The addition of smoked grains gives Old Chub a delicate kiss of smoke on the finish. Old Chub is the beer equivalent of a lightly smoked single malt scotch, or your favorite dark chocolate. We call it Rocky Mountain Mutha's Milk. People who tell us defiantly, \I don't drink dark beer
For those of you who don't know who "Scotty Karate" is... He is a local one man band who plays an amazing slurry of honky tonk influenced, punk country songs. His voice is amazing as well as his high energy shows. (Check him out @ www.scottykaratetime.com) So, we decided to make a beer and name it in his honor. This beer is a big, full bodied Scottish ale. It is 9.75% alc. but it is very smooth and balanced. Since Scotty is also very passionate about beer I asked him to write a description for you, so from the man himself... Aroma: Smells like A fresh caramel apple with a hint of cinnamon inside of cranberry shortbread. Or maybe fresh home made hard candy (from home economics class-7th grade). Flavor: Tastes like a smokey chocolate chip cookie, wild roadside cherry-asparagus, woody, crispy leaf on a fall day.
Wee Mac is a Scottish style brown ale. Fermented at cooler than normal temperatures to mimic the climate of Scotland. Wee Mac is an easy drinking brown ale that is both smooth and malty wit caramel and chocolate tones. Hops are used sparingly in this beer and serve only to help balance the sweetness of the malt.
Looks can be deceiving! This satisfying simulation of self exploration is sure to surprise your pallet. It's an extremely smooth sessionable coffee blonde. So light a candle and enjoy the adventure this beer has to offer.
The aroma and flavor of this classic hefeweizen (or weissbier/wheat beer with yeast) is decidedly fruity with clove, nutmeg-like and even vanilla-like phenolics. Banana-like esters are also present. This beer is made with over 50 percent malted wheat, and hop rates are quite low, with hop flavor and aroma being absent. Hefeweizen is well attenuated and very highly carbonated, yet its relatively high starting gravity and alcohol content make it a medium-full bodied beer. The color is very pale. Because yeast is present, the beer will have yeast flavor and a characteristically fuller mouthfeel and is appropriately very cloudy. Alcohol by Weight (Volume): 4.6% (5.9%) Bitterness (IBU): 14 Color SRM (EBC): 4 (8)
A unique style makes for a unique beer. Sweet nose and palate from the cacao nibs and vanilla beans. Lightly hopped with Bravo and Cascade offering a pleasant taste not often found in stouts. Mix in 4 gallons of Dark Matter Chocolate City and now you have got a real winner. Lingering soft finish makes this an easy drinking stout that shouldn't be missed.
This English style of beer, also known as Sweet Stout or Cream Stout, first appeared in London in the late 1800s. The early brewers touted the health benefits of the milk sugar in this beer which today relates mainly to the increased amount of calories(no real health benefits…sorry). The milk sugar adds a well rounded sweetness to this dark beer and makes it an outstanding, year round stout.
